Past, Present & Future
As this is our brand new and gorgeous looking redesigned website, it seemed fitting to take a look back to how D.B Photography began, where it is, and where we are going. In 2009, I established this company off the back of my passion for photography and a love of working with people. A job that gave me both was the only one for me.
The first few years of any new business are tough going and a constant learning curve. Weddings were where I decided to start from and, still just a teenager, I shot my first one. I immediately knew from this first experience that this was the right path for me, despite being very nervous! In 2011 and 2012 the company really started to take shape with the amount of weddings I was shooting increasing, discovering new venues and meeting some wonderful people along the way. 2012 also marked the opening of our first studio space. Take a look at our photo shoot blog for more on the beginnings of the studio.
2013 was a big year for the company with continued success in the studio. Also it saw D.B Photography get down to the final 10 in The Wedding Industry Awards Best Photographer section!
So far, 2014 has been a very big year for us with a new studio space, a new website and a record number of wedding bookings. Also we have seen Gregg and Gemma's wedding photographs featured on international blogs and became finalists in a regional magazine's wedding of the year competition for which we are awaiting the final result. D.B Photography Sussex is now a multi media company with popular Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram accounts, plus we're expanding into the popular wedding planning world of pinterest.
The future plans are ever growing with aims to expand ourselves in to the international wedding market and to carry on providing the great service we are known for. We are already getting very booked up for 2015 and I have lots of exciting projects in mind, including our own wedding to plan!
Below is a selection of photographs taken over the years, please feel free to leave your feedback.
