Andrew & Sara- Bannatynes Hotel
Andrew and Sara's wedding was my first wedding of 2014, only being three days into January, the weather was 'seasonal' but the rain did not put a dampener on the day. It was my first time photographing a wedding ceremony in the Montgomerie Suite, even though I am a regular at Bannatynes , most of the ceremonies have been outside under the gazebo. I was very excited to see the suite set up for a ceremony, I was not disappointed Sara and Andrews Icy blue colour scheme worked perfectly for the setting and the season. Bows for hire had created a beautiful intimate atmosphere for their wedding.
I arrived at the Montgomerie Suite to take a few shots of the cake and the little details that go into to making a wedding personal. I knew Andrew before hand as we both played on the same football team and loved it when he pulled up to his wedding in a yellow lamborghini! I then went over to the hotel to photograph Sara , who was all ready and looking fantastic. We took some beautiful portraits by the window while she held her bouquet made up by La Collina Gardens .
The ceremony was a very emotional service with Sara's brothers walking her down the isle while the harpist Fiona Hosford set the mood. Its always lovely to capture the emotions of the groom when he takes his first look at his future wife on their wedding day. After a very moving service and the first kiss, Andrew and Sara walked back down the isle as husband and wife.Due to the time of day and the weather we took the group photos and confetti shoots inside before everyone settled down for dinner. After dinner Sara and Andrew (and myself!) enjoyed the chocolate fountain by Chocolate Ballons and took to the dance floor for the evening.
