Sarah & Matthew - Manor Barn
Quite often I get the pleasure of shooting a wedding for an old school or college friend, and this day was one of those days. It was a great pleasure to be a part of Sarah's day, somebody I had known since we were both at Secondary School together. I was also excited at the prospect of a Groom and his ushers dressed in their RAF finery.
The day started for me at . . . Holiday cottages on Bexhill seafront, a very nice location which gave a great backdrop to the getting ready stages. Sarah was joined by lots of her family and friends, all of which were in high spirits when I arrived. I got to work taking photos of the dresses, shoes and flowers. There was lots of natural light to play with so these came out well. One thing I always try to recommend to Brides, is to put the dresses on nice hangers, always looks better.
The weather was fine but windy. Which did make the walk to the car along the seafront a bit interesting. Upon arrival at Manor Barn I took Sarah up to the ruins with her family for a few pre-wedding group pics. Manor Barn is a lovely venue, and one I have worked at many times.
The ceremony was lovely and Matthew looked very smart. I got a very nice shot of him waiting for Sarah to make her way up the aisle. Afterward we made our way down to the rose gardens for lots more photos, and for me and Steph to pinch some lovely canapes! The gardens at Manor Barn boast many different areas, and we made our best efforts to utilise them all, during our capturing of the couple photos.
When evening rolled around, we were treated to the fantastic talents of The Nameless Three. A really fantastic band. There was lots of dancing and merriment which i imagine went on till the small hours. For us it was a really lovely day, and we both want to say congratulations to our old friend Sarah and her new husband Smiley!
