Rachel & Adam - Arlington Church
The beginnings of the road to Rachel and Adams wedding starts a bit differently to the majority of the weddings I shoot, as I actually dealt with Rachel's parents Hazel & Tim. I met them at a wedding fayre in Eastbourne, they took a shine to my work and before I knew it the wedding was booked. I only met Rachel a week before the wedding, to finalise all the details and to take a look around the church and location of the wedding reception. The reception was to take place in Rachel's Grandmother's garden, and it was beautiful! There were lots of hidden spots around the sweet cottage garden. I looked forward to the day knowing it would be a chance to capture some great images.
On the day of the wedding I arrived at Rachel's house. It was a gorgeous town house in the heart of Eastbourne old town. Lots character and lots of photo opportunities. I started by taking photos of Rachel's beautiful dress. Which looked very elegant hanging on the cupboard door. The room that Rachel was getting ready in was filled with natural light, which came out really well in the images. Once everybody was dressed and ready we went to the back garden, where Rachel's father Tim had worked tirelessly to creat a beautiful garden space for the photos. It looked fantastic. After that it was time to make our way to the church. In the stunning white Beauford you can see below.
Upon arrival at the church I was stunned at how perfectly it had been decorated. It looked like the perfect Sussex country church. The ceremony was packed with Rachel and Adams friends and family, plus an awful lot of uniforms. The guys all looked fantastic in their military getup. After a very traditional service, we all left the church through a military guard of honour. This was a really great touch to the day and was a fantastic photo op for myself and the guests.
When we got to the reception the marquee was looking fantastic and the guests were already enjoying their Pimms. The day was dampened briefly by a quick shower but everyone remained in high spirits, even the dogs. After dinner, i took Adam and Rachel into the more wild parts of the garden for some pics together. These came out really well I think.
The evening was fantastic, the band had everybody up dancing and the marquee created a very romantic setting. Plus the garden was drenched in fairy lights. It all looked very beautiful. All the best from us here at D.B Photography to Adam & Rachel, and Rachel's family for inviting us into their homes.
