Sarah & Adam - Swallows Oast
It's such a lovely thing to be in the presence of a beautiful young family, so in love and so suited to one and other. This is the impression you instantly get when meeting Sarah, Adam and their gorgeous son Brodie. I have had the pleasure of spending time with them on a number of occasions in the run-up and on the wedding day itself and it was a lovely moment to see them actually becoming husband and wife.
The day started like most do. I travelled up to see Sarah at her house near Tonbridge to start with some getting ready photos. The atmosphere was very relaxed, with everyone just sitting around chatting and excitedly anticipating the day ahead. I went and got on with photographing the dress. After some moving of furniture, I found the shot I wanted. It's always lovely to see Brides opening presents from their husbands to be and this was no exception. Little did I know that Steph was mirroring the same photo down at the hotel where the Groom was getting ready in Ticehurst.
After some photos in Adam and Sarah beautiful back garden, it was off to the venue.
Upon arrival, I rendezvoused with Steph and discussed the plan going forward. Swallows Oast is one of our favourite venues. So favourite in fact Steph got married here in April 2015. The ceremony, as you can see from the photos, was a very emotional one! It was so lovely to be involved in and to witness it through the lens. It was clear that the day was going to be such a great celebration.
After the ceremony, we wandered off for some snaps in the woodland and the fields beyond. Something which also makes Swallows Oast such a pleasure to photograph is the variety of backdrops. As well as the lovely immediate grounds and small garden area, there is a sweet little woodland and beyond that, rolling fields that just glow so nicely in the summer sun.
The reception room at Swallows is not the biggest but feels very cosy and intimate. The speeches were lovely and everyone was in high spirits and there was such a great vibe.
One of the things that came across from Adam & Sarah was their desire to get lots of lovely couple shots together. So with that in mind we made our way back out for some more pics, only this time in the golden evening sunshine.
The evening was a wonderful chilled affair with everyone having a fantastic time. It was a true pleasure to be a part of Adam & Sarah's day and I am so pleased for the pair of them, and the gorgeous Brodie!
