Becki & Pete - High Rocks Hotel
As you will see from this blog about Becki & Pete's Engagement Shoot in London the sun shone beautifully on that day. I think if truth be told, these two would have gladly swapped that weather for the weather on their wedding day! The rain came and decided to stay for the day.
I got over to Becki's parent's house in Heathfield in the morning to a greeting of much excitement for the day ahead. You could tell that Becki had been planning this perfect day for some time now and nothing was going to ruin it. The house was a beautiful one and I had no trouble at all finding great photo locations from room to room. After an emotional reveal to the bridal party of the Bride looking stunning in her dress, it was off to the venue.
Steph was already at the venue taking a couple of shots of Pete and his groomsmen when I arrived. The weather at this point was holding but everyone could see the ominous clouds overhead.
The ceremony had a really lovely feel to it and was dressed beautifully for the occasion. You could tell that this was a couple who had been counting the days to this moment with much anticipation!
The heavens had opened by the time it got round to taking photos and we only had time for a few quick shots outside before everybody had had quite enough of getting drenched. It's always a tricky situation as a photographer to have to deal with such weather. You almost have to act as diplomat between the Bride and Groom and the rain. Thankfully Becki and Pete were brave souls who weren't going to let a bit of water ruin their day!
I have to say myself and Steph really rather enjoyed being a part of this lovely wedding day and getting to meet the Bride and Grooms family and friends. It felt like a true celebration and I know Becki and Pete have a lifetime of happiness ahead of them.
